Leaching Kinetics of Y and Eu from Waste Phosphors under Microwave Irradiation

Waste fluorescent powder contains a large amount of rare earth elements, which have high value for recovery and utilization. In order to achieve the rapid efficient leaching elements in these waste phosphors, microwave-assisted Y Eu from phosphor with hydrochloric acid was studied. The maximum rates (99.84%) (89.82%) were obtained at 600 W microwave power, 60 min radiation time °C. kinetics showed that process conforms chemical reaction control model, apparent activation energy is 25.30 kJ/mol 24.78 kJ/mol. Compared conventional heating method, can obviously reduce energy, shorten time, phosphors.
